A Small Group of Antique Pottery: A late 18th century cream-ware jug transfer printed in reddish brown with a bucolic scene to one side and verse to the other; ‘Success to the Plough, The Fleece and The Pail, May the Landlord ever Flourish, And the Tenant Never fail’ 4½” (11.5 cm) in height. A late 18th century English salt-glazed plate decorated in blue with a Chinoiserie scene incorporating a pagoda to the centre panel, insects and foliate sprigs to the serpentine border, 9½” (24 cm) in diameter. A pearl-ware plate painted in sepia with a simple trail of flowers and foliage between rim bands to the narrow border, 8½” (22 cm) in diameter. And a pretty faience plate enamelled with pink and apple green Bourbon sprigs edged with a pink rim line, the base with blue anchor mark, 9¼” (23.5 cm) in diameter. And a ceramic egg decorated in polychrome enamels and inscribed in black ‘Ann Isabella Green Born July 3rd 1852’.
