The piece elaborately decorated with oval medallions depicting cavalry scenes painted in intricate detail, framed by laurel wreaths and surrounded by scrolling flowers & foliage displayed against a gilt ground to the cover and foot, with a deep rich blue ground to the main body, 7½” (19 cm) high, 11¼” (29 cm) wide, 8” (20 cm) deep.
