Description
An Impressive Chinese Teak Trunk of rectangular form and substantial proportions. The heavy one piece lid with brass bossed studs capping the strap hinge fixings and a rectangular brass plaque to the centre, edged with ebonised moulding. The sprung lock fitted with an ornamental pierced brass lock plate and key. The body of through dove-tail jointed construction composed of single piece timbers; the corners strengthened and enriched with decorative pierced brass brackets on scrolling flowers and foliage. The moulded ebonised base on ball turned feet with castors, 31½” (80 cm) high, 62” (160 cm) wide, 26¾” (68 cm) deep.
