Two 19th Century Tortoiseshell Snuff Boxes: One having a cartouche cushion moulded lid mounted with silver metal rim band, 1¾” (4.5 cm) high, 3¼” x 2” (8 cm x 5 cm). The other of rectangular form decorated with engine turning centred by an inset white metal roundel and bordered with piqué work stars alternated with studs; the interior lined in lacquered gilding, ¾” (2 cm) high, 2¾” x 1½” (7 cm x 3.5 cm).*
