Description
A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Jacobite Leather Sporran with belt hook, a leather purse & a flint striker purse. The sporran having an embroidered appliqué panel to the front with initials entwined in undulating strings, a brass clasp attached to a belt hook with an ornamental navette shaped brass mount incorporating a glazed panel (A/F) flanked by sprigs of acorns and oak leaves, 14½” (37 cm) overall length, 8½” (22 cm) width. The purse with two suspension loops to the top, an applied leather motif to the front flap with buckled strap fastener, and stitched banded to the edges, 5” (13 cm) wide, 4” (10 cm) high. The demilune flint purse with scalloped flap front and a white metal hanging mount, 3½” (9 cm) wide.*
