A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Brass Wall Sconce. The candle socket on an upswept arm cast in the form of a dolphin and slotting onto a base mount of a round convex wall mounted reflector. The roundel pierced and embossed with a bird to the centre outlined in small stamped circles, framed by a border of repoussé foliage embellished with punchwork, 12½” (32 cm) in diameter (probably converted from a warming pan lid).
