The hinged lid painted with a scenic panel depicting a lady sat in landscape accompanied by two cherubs; one forging an arrow. The metallic ruby red border enriched with scrolling gilt embellishments. The sides painted with long scenic panels to the front and back on a shimmering red ground. The interior entirely painted with figures in landscape, 1¼” (3 cm) high, 2½” x 1¾” (6.5 cm x 4.5 cm).
