An Unusual 19th Century Turned Burr-wood Butter Tub. The flat lid having a small round well to the centre and a push button release alongside, with two cut-in sections to the rim slotting over the raised lugs. The straight, splayed sides decorated with ring moulding, 4” (10 cm) high, 4¾” (12 cm) diameter.
