Description
A Group of English Pottery (A/F) & A Pair of Late 18th Century Enamelled Candlesticks decorated with sprigs of polychrome flowers, 9½” (24 cm) in height. The pottery comprising of a Wedgwood cream-ware baluster coffee jug bat printed with bucolic scenes and having a floral sprig surmount to the domed lid, 9¼” (24 cm) in height. An octagonal soup plate printed in blue with chinoiserie decoration. A Staffordshire jug transfer printed and clobbered in coloured enamels with an inscription below the lip; ‘Wm. Read 1812’, 6¾” (17 cm) high. A Victorian transfer printed commemorative Christmas Jug 4” (10 cm) high. A souvenir mug transfer printed with ‘The New West Pier Brighton’. Two other mugs; one with stenciled border decoration, the other with twin blue ring lines.
