Four Polychromed Wood Carvings: An 18th century Figural Candleholder carved in the form of a putto with gilt loin cloth knelt upon silver gilt clouds holding a pricket in his hand, 12 ins (31 cm) high. A late 17th century naively carved infant swagged in a long green sash (A/F), 12½ ins (32 cm) high. An 18th Century appliqué/wall mount carved with a winged cherub’s head flanked by gilded scrolls of acanthus, 5 ins (13 cm) high, 13¾ ins (35 cm) wide. And a small naïve face mask of a cherub above outspread wings, 7 ins (18 cm) wide.
