Two Medieval Slip-ware Tiles. The largest emblazoned with a heraldic lion passant encircled by a ring band depicted in cream slip on a brown ground, 1¼” (3 cm) thick, 4¾” (12 cm) square. The other decorated with yellow slip on a terracotta group depicting a lion rampant, ¾” (2 cm) thick, 4¼” (11 cm) square.
