Description
An 18th Century Fruit & Elm ‘Lambing Chair’ of rich, mellow colour and patination. The tall, splayed, fielded-panel back fanned out to the top beneath a shaped cresting rail with upswept terminals. The winged sides leading down to flat shaped arms with out-scrolled ends above curved supports enclosed by side panels. The padded drop-in seat on partially enclosed base with a fielded panel front and square section back legs connected by turned side and rear stretchers, 47¼” (120 cm) high, 28¼” (72 cm) wide.
