Description
A Late 19th Century Painted Oriental Smoker’s Cabinet of hexagonal ‘lantern’ form. The domed ogee moulded pediment surmounted by a turned finial rotating to open the pivoting side panels. The panels decorated with chinoiserie scenes depicting river birds, reeds, rockwork and blossom. The plinth base inlaid with striped bands of ebony & boxwood stinging and raised on six turned feet, 12” (31 cm) in height.
