Description
A 19th Century Slip-glazed Agate-ware Money Box modelled in the form of a circular inn with a pierced coin slot to the conical roof and chimney to the centre. The eaves stamped with inscription; ‘PUT A PENNY IN THIS PENNY INN AND BE TEMPERATE AND RICH’, 5¼ in (13.5 cm) in height, 4½ in (11.5 cm) in diameter.
