Description
A Fabulous 15th Century Oak ‘Poppy-head’ Pew End Finial, attributed to East Anglia, of a good rich colour & patination. The angular lobes enriched with cross-hatched & chip-carved embellishments above a moulded elongated hexagonal collar. The carving measuring 12½” (32 cm) raised on a modern display stand with round limestone base, 19½” (50 cm) high.
