An Edwardian Cauldon China Dessert Service made for retailers HG Stephenson Ltd of Manchester. Each piece decorated with swagged garlands of enamelled flowers hung from deep blue underglaze border motifs enriched with gilding and alternated with gilded wreaths of fruiting vine within a dotted gilt rim. Comprising of two pairs of footed comports 3” (7.5 cm) and 5” (13 cm) high, a pair of oval dishes 9½” x 8” (24 cm x 20 cm) and twelve plates 8½” (21.5 cm) high.
