A 17th Century Oak & Fruitwood Table Cabinet. The top with applied edge-moulding above two doors centred by long bevelled fruitwood panels set in moulded oak frames. The side & centre pilasters adorned with split spindle appliqués; the central appliqué having a sliding section concealing the key hole, fitted with lock & key and enclosing a shelf within. The piece having a moulding strip applied to the base, raised on stile feet 21½” (55 cm) high, 20¾” (53 cm) wide at the top, 8” (20 cm) deep.*
