Description
A 19th Century Comb-back Yew-wood Windsor Armchair, attributed to the Thames Valley. The tall back with slightly bowed comb rail above an upper and lower fretted centre splat featuring a wheel motif and heart motif below, flanked by four long spindles and side slats piercing through the three part arm bow, with further underarm spindles and bentwood end supports. The elm seat with scribed edging line raised on baluster turned legs united by a crinoline stretcher, 47½” (121 cm) high, 26¾” (68 cm) wide.
