A Fine 19th Century Turned Masur-grain Birch Wood Butter Box; the beautifully figured timber of good warm colour and patination. The splayed tub-form sides decorated with reeded bands and having a raised lug either side securing the flat round lid, centred by a turned finial handle, 4” (10 cm) high, 5½” (14 cm) in diameter.
