A Rare 15th/Early 16th Century Pierced Oak Mural Canopy of diminutive proportions. The rectangular top with moulded edge surmounted by carved Gothic corner finials above an open backed compartment with fretted twin panel front and single panel sides. The panels elaborately decorated with interlaced tracery. The open back retaining iron tenon wall fittings along with several pairs of later door hinges. The curved canopy below centred by a pierced roundel carved with wrythen quatrefoil and flanked by foliate carved pendant finials, above an arcaded base rail of pierced tracery, 32 ins (81 cms) high, 20½ ins (52 cms) wide, 9 ins (23 cms) deep.
