A Fine 18th Century Brass Mounted Colonial Desk Box of rectangular form, constructed from burr figured timbers and ornamented with elaborate pierced brass corner mounts & escutcheon with swing handles on fretted mounts either side. The interior having a lidded compartment along one side with an open trough to the back; the strap hinges attached with decorative brass dome-head studs, (18.5 cm) high, (51 cm) wide, (37 cm) deep.
