The poplar wood frames gouge carved with naive decoration and having arcaded back bars incorporated three spindles between square uprights surmounted by turned ball finials. The rush seats fitted with pale blue swab cushions and raised on square legs united by stretchers, 33 in (84 cm) high, the seats 18 in (46 cm) high, 16½ in (41 cm) wide.
