A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Figured Walnut Box clad in decorative pierced iron strap-work. The lid centred by a swing handle and opening to reveal padded fabric lined interior edged with silver braid. The front with pierced escutcheon. The base raised on small ball feet, 4¾” (12 cm) [handle down], 8” (20 cm) wide, 5½” (14 cm) deep.*
