Description
A 19th Century Gilt Mantel Clock. The enamelled dial signed Gasnier, Paris, Quai Voltaire 17 and set in a drum case festooned in garlands of flowers and surmounted by a pair of love birds, with winged cherubs either side; one holding a flaming torch, the other with Cupid’s bow & arrows. The breakfront plinth base adorned with an oval patera medallion contained in a flower wreath flanked by laurel garlands, 11” (28 cm) high, 16” (41 cm) wide.*
