Description
A Vienna Porcelain Ecuelle with Stand & Cover. The twin-handled bowl decorated with oval medallions depicting allegorical scenes between gilded animals and birds in landscape silhouettes against copper glazed frieze bands, on a deep puce ground adorned with strings of tiny blue enamelled beads and fine gilt embellishments, inscribed to the base ”Venus und Amor” and ”Amor am Pranger”. The lid surmounted by a finial knop and inscribed ”Venus und Amor” and ”Der Raub des Ulyses”, 5½” (14 cm) hig, 7½” (19 cm) in diameter.
