A Child’s Alder & Ash Rocking Chair attributed to Lancashire, circa 1860-90. The lacquered back having two short turned spindles between horizontal back bars below the plain top rail. The turned ash arms on baluster turned posts leading to a padded panel seat covered in rexine fabric, standing on turned legs with turned stretchers terminating on curved rockers, 24¾” (63 cm) high, 15” (38 cm) wide, the seat 12” (31 cm) high.*
