An Unusual 17th Century Carved Oak Provincial Armchair. The plain top rail above broad pierced & shaped centre splat flanked by S-scroll carved uprights surmounted with turned urn finials. The scroll end arms embellished with bands of incised decoration, on baluster turned posts leading to a solid seat with moulded edges above serpentine cut rails and baluster legs united by peripheral stretchers and terminating on turned feet, 43” (109 cm) high, 22¾” (58 cm) wide, 22” (56 cm) deep.
