Description
A Late 15th/Early 16th Century Oak Boss carved with a woman’s head wearing a head-dress with counterchief hanging in folds either side of her face. The head bearing a small riven plank shelf with canted corners and a bevelled under-edge. The back having a chiselled out rebate, 8¼” (21 cm) high, the top 13” (33 cm) wide, 7½” (19 cm) deep.*
