An 18th Century Chinese Fall-front Storage Chest of rectangular form. The dovetail joined box having sheet metal corner bracket to the top and decoratively pierced brackets to the sides and base. The front having an upper fall-down flap on ornamental strap hinges with two swing handles flanking the central hasp and lockplate. The sides fitted with further carrying handles. The low moulded base on swept bracket feet, 26½ in (67 cm) high, 36 in (91 cm) wide, 17¾ in (45 cm) deep.
