A Group of Four Small Leather Shoes & a Late 19th Century Novelty Purse in the form of a cap: The shoes composing of a charming 19th century infant’s pump having ankle straps with button and loop fastening, inscribed in ink to the leather sole ”’Ruby 1st Shoe” 4½” (11.5 cm) in length. Two miniature leather shoes; the largest 4” (10 cm) in length, the other cut with a tongue to the front and fitted on a wooden last 3” (7.,5 cm) in length. And an ankle boot with tooled brogue markings and a metal capped heel, 3½” (9 cm) in length. The leather purse/box in the form of a peaked cap; the crown quartered by tooled simulated seam stitching with a flower head stud to the centre, the clasp to the back opening to reveal a purple silk lined interior (A/F), 3½” (9 cm) wide.
