Two 19th Century Samplers stitched in red thread on linen and mounted in later frames. The largest with alphabet above a three verse rhyme (unfinished) 12¼” x 13½” (31 cm x 34 cm). The smaller one by Ann Elizabeth Maw aged ten years, Wroot School 1852, stitched with moral verse under the heading; ‘Duty to God and Our Neighbours’, 7” x 10” (18 cm x 25.5 cm).
