A Rare Antique Leather Purse with engraved white metal overlay. The cartouche shaped pouch having a fold over flap lid secured by a sprung scissor-action fastener with squeeze together release catch. The front adorned with pierced decorative white metal mounts of scrolling foliage enriched with wriggle work. The purse having a silver mounted leather belt clip and hanging strap (detached) and a purple silk lining to the fold out receptacle, 4¼” (11 cm) high, 5¼” (13 cm) wide. [believed to have been in Bakewell Museum, with inventory number].*
