The scale’s beam suspended from a central knopped stem with finialed top bearing a sheet brass dish to one arm and weight-pan hung on three chains to the other, mounted on a rectangular mahogany base 24 in x 12½ in (61 cm x 32 cm) 28 in (71 cm) in height. Two x 2lb, two x 1lb, one 8oz and one 4oz weighs.
