Description
A Large 19th Century Tôleware Tray & Lamp Stand. The tray centred by a round scenic panel depicting a young lady in landscape holding a dog on a scarlet lacquered ground enriched with decorative bands of gilt anthemion motifs to the borders of, and gilded bind-weed with intricately scrolling tendrils around the sides, pierced with handles, 28¼” x 22½” (72 cm x 57 cm). The lamp stand with a columnar stem above square plinth base decorated with gilded leaves rising from the base collar, and further embellishments to the plinth, on a red lacquered ground, 17” (43 cm) high.
