A Group of Four Antique Patch Boxes inset with miniature paintings to the lids: One of turned ebony with tortoiseshell moulding encircling a landscape with man & two horses, 3¼” (9 cm) in diameter. One of turned ivory with tortoiseshell veneer lining with portrait of an Empire lady to the lid and a loose rectangular miniature portrait of a gentleman housed inside. One of horn and tortoiseshell with a late 18th century miniature of mother and child in landscape 3” (8 cm) in diameter. And a small turned ivory box with a 19th century miniature painting of lady & dog in landscape with appliquéd pressed leaves to the trees, 2¼” (6 cm) in diameter (A/F).
