The brass beam stamped with maker’s mark and ‘TO WEIGH 10lb’ in a cast iron frame ornamented with anthemion motifs raised above a brass column leading down to a cast iron base on lion paw feet. One arm bearing a brass pan hanging on three suspension rods, the other with a ceramic plate transfer printed; ‘S. Parsons Weighing Machinists Estd 1809 Bradford’. 33½” (85 cm) high.
