The piece intricately detailed with boughs of pine overhanging prunus blossom, storks amongst clumps of reeds to the base alongside two pagodas raised on a stepped brick-work structure. The carving encased between discoid glass panels in an ebonised frame raised on a fretwork stand, 12” (30 cm) high, 8½” (22 cm) in diameter.
