A 19th Century English Straight-pull Corkscrew made by William Gamble & patented in 1886 with turned lignum vitae handle. The shank marked ‘REGISTERED 41404 LEVER SHEFFIELD’ and split above the helix twisted one side to the right, the other to the left turning the helix into the cork, 4½” (11.5 cm) in length.
