A Large 17th Century Style Replica Staffordshire Charger by John Hudson after Ralph Toft. The piece decorated in white dotted brown & ochre slip glaze on a creamy yellow ground with a sword wielding figure flanked by crowned heads, a fleur-de-lys and rose framed by a cross-hatched slip ware border incorporating ‘RALPH TOFT 1676’ to the base. The underside stamped with potter’s ‘H’ marks, 16½” (42 cm) in diameter.
