A Large 17th Century Style Replica Staffordshire Charger by John Hudson after Thomas Toft. The piece decorated in white dotted brown & ochre slip glaze on a creamy yellow ground with a lady, possibly Catherine of Briganza, holding a fleur-de-lys and rose framed by a cross-hatched slip ware border incorporating ‘THOMAS TOFT ‘ to the base. The underside stamped with potter’s ‘H’ marks, 17½” (44.5 cm) in diameter.
