Description
A Group of Silver Plated Wares: A Large Victorian Tray of rectangular form engraved with garlands of bell flowers tied in ribbons and having a pierced guilloche foliate border and cast serpentine rim, with clusters of fruit & foliage adorning the gadrooned handles either side, 24¾” x 15” (63 cm x 38 cm). A fine pedestal footed grape bowl with a pierced swing handle and cast border chased with fruiting vine, 10” (25.5 cm) in diameter. An oval dish stamped R Stewart 1889, having an scroll crested rim cast with shell motifs, flowers and foliage, 11½” x 9” (29 cm x 23 cm). A hot-water jug with hinged lid and engraved embellishments, on a pedestal foot 8½” (21.5 cm) in height. And a monteith/punch bowl elaborately embossed & chased with flowers and foliage swirling around vacant cartouches, having loop handles hung from lion masks either side and standing on a pedestal foot 7¼” (18 cm) high, 10” (25.5 cm) in diameter.
