Description
A Late 18th/Early 19th Wedgwood Veilleuse or Food Warmer & A Wedgwood Creamware Tankard, Circa 1790, both with impressed WEDGWOOD marks. The veilleuse of cylindrical form with decorative piercing and a rounded bowl (lacking lid) with twisted twin strap handles either side, 8½” (22 cm) high, 4¾” (12 cm). The tankard of cylindrical form with incised ring turning, a decoratively moulded foot with umber glazed rim lines, and an unusual transfer engraving of a horn to the front, 6” (15 cm) high.
