Description
A 20th Century Boxwood Carving of Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote, seated on a chair with a sword in his hand and the decapitated head of a bearded man at his feet. The moulded plinth stamped ‘OURO (ESPANA)’. The underside with stuck-on gilt paper label ‘Ribera Galerías Maldà Barcelona’, 7¼” (18.3 cm) high, 3½” x 4¼” (8.9 cm x 11.1 cm) at the base.
