Two Large Early 19th Century Pearl-glazed Cream-ware Tankards (A/F). The largest having a cylindrical body and strap handle with moulded foliate terminals; the body decorated with lathe turned bands of buff and striped dark brown glaze sandwiching an abstract looped trail of brown and blue slip to the frieze, 6” (15 cm) in height. The smaller mug having a relief moulded band of flower heads adorning the rim and ring turning above the foot, with black dendritic markings to a buff ground frieze panel sandwiched between bands of blue & grey, 4¾” (12 cm) high.
