Description
Three 19th Century Straight-pull Corkscrews: One fitted with a wire cutter to one end of the turned wooden handle, and a dusting brush to the other, and having a centre or solid cut helix, circa 1850, 5” (13 cm) in length. An Edwin Wolverton type corkscrew circa 1880, with a turned wooden handle and ring shank having a kite registration mark to one side and ‘HOLBORN SIGNET’ to the other above a wire helix, 5½” (14 cm) in length. The third circa 1860, with a turned pestle shaped handle, square shank and fluted wire helix, 4¾” (12 cm) in length.
