An 18th/19th Century Mortar or Jar of richly patinated boxwood; the sides turned with bands of reel moulding and raised on a round moulded foot, 4¼” (11 cm) high, the base 3¾” (9.5 cm) in diameter. An early 19th century turned cylindrical flask having an inverted beaker lid with screw-thread fastening and a stapled crack repair to the rim, 7½” (19 cm) in height. And an apothecary mortar on a round column base, 4¼” (11 cm) in height.*
