A Large Carved Wooden Pilgrim’s Flask. The lenticular sides carved with sprays of roses on a pitted band encircling a chip carved roundel to one side, and two small creatures beneath an oak tree in a zigzagged border to the other. The flask’s sides encompassed by a leather belt with a buckled hanging strap and pierced & fringed ornamental flanking pieces. The base with bracket feet, the top with a turned spout and cap. 14½” (37 cm) high.
