Two 19th Century Turned Lignum Vitae String Boxes. Each having a cylindrical body on a moulded foot with a screw-on slightly domed lid enhanced with bands of concentric moulding and centred by a raised finial pierced with dispensing hole. The largest 4¾” (12 cm) high, 3 3/8” (8.5 cm) in diameter. The smaller one 3” (7.6 cm) high, 2½” (6.5 cm) in diameter.*
