The fitted interior housing four folding cut-throat razors with white metal mounted tortoiseshell handles (one A/F), a wetstone blade sharpener, two leather strops and a glass cologne bottle. The leather clad case of tapering canted rectangular form having a scrolling white metal escutcheon to the form and armorial plaque to the hinged lid engraved with horse’s head beneath banner inscribed ‘ÆGRE DE TRAMITE RECTO’ (scarcely from the right path); the motto of the Horseley family, and dated 1749, 7½” (19 cm) in height.
