The ferrule having an engraved cartouche inscribed ‘Presented to Mr Hulbert by The Hampstead Postal Staff Aug 1898’ amidst a mass of embossed and chased foliate scrolls, with bands of further scrolling foliage to the handle caps, 35” (89 cm) in length.
